How Much Does Real Estate Photography Cost in 2025 - Your In Depth Guide
Are you a Realtor or real estate agent looking for real estate photos and videos and wondering what it costs in 2025? Are you trying to figure out what types of photos and videos you’ll even need? Well, you’ve come to the right place, especially since most photographers don’t post their prices online and really don’t like to talk about pricing.
At AbovePAR, we know that finding the right photographer can be overwhelming, especially if you’re a new Realtor or real estate agent. Everyday, thousands of agents are asking themselves these questions and today, we hope to answer them for you as best we can.
But before we get into how much all of this is going to cost you, let’s answer another even more important question: Do I even need a real estate photographer? My phone has an amazing camera on it. Why shouldn’t I just save myself some money and do this myself?
That’s an excellent question and one I’m sure every single agent has asked themselves at some time or another, especially when they’re just starting out. After you pay for the classes and license and get business cards and a logo and all the many many things you have to spend money on, now you have to shell out more money just to get your first listing photographed?! You haven’t even made any money yet!
We’re going to go more in depth on that question in a later article, but the short answer is this: real estate listings that use professional photos and video sell 32% faster and for 9% more money than if that same listing had used amateur photos. That means that if your listing is in the $200k range, you can expect to sell that house in 89 days instead of 123 days, and you can expect to sell that house for up to $18,000 more than if you had used photos you shot yourself. The reason for this is that listings with professional photos and videos get more views online and that translates into more showings which means more bids. And more bids means a higher selling price.
Alright, now it’s time to answer the question. How much are you going to have to spend on photos and video to get those benefits we discussed above? The answer is going to depend on a lot of factors, but for the vast majority of you, you can expect the following:
Interior and Exterior photos: $200-$300 for 25 images
Aerial Photos: $100-$250
Video Tour: $100-$200
(Some places will probably offer discounts for bundling these together, so make sure you ask.)
I should note here that there is conflicting evidence on whether or not a video tour actually helps sell the listing, but we’ll get into that in more detail in a later article. I only included it here because video tours are a popular option for many agents.
If you are dealing with luxury properties, large farms, famous houses, or other properties that are likely to sell for a premium, these prices will go up from here, but if you’re selling an average sized home for roughly what that market will handle, the evidence is clear. Spending $750 on the high end to shave a month off the time the listing is on the market and increasing the selling price by about $11,000 - $18,000 sounds like an obvious win to me.
But of course, these prices are estimates based on the average in the US. Some markets will run higher, some will run lower, and because most photographers will not share this information freely with you until they are talking to you, it can be hard to nail down exactly what you can expect to spend until you’re already talking with someone. You’re trying to sell houses, not talk on the phone with photographers all day!
So let me help out by telling you EXACTLY what I charge for my services. I operate in the Greater Pensacola Area of Florida where homes can range in price from $200k to $500k.
To cover the interior and exterior of the listing, I have the following packages:
15 photos $150
30 photos $250
50 photos $350
I charge $200 for 5 aerial photos. You can get that for $100 if you’re adding it onto another service.
You can also add on a floor plan for $100 and a video walk-thru for $150.
Lastly, if you’re a broker, a member of a large team, or just do a high volume of listings, a “rainmaker” as they’re called, I do offer discounts for buying bulk. Reach out to me using my contact form for more information about buying in bulk.

Now, there is one more option you can use that will save you money over using an established professional and save you time over doing it yourself. You can use what we in the real estate photo business pejoratively call a “photo mill”. I want to be 100% up front with you that real estate photographers do like these photo mills, both because they offer their services for prices most of us can’t compete with and because in general they don’t offer a great product and then we get called by panicking agents wanting us to fix their listing photos but not having the money to spend on the fix because they already spent their budget on the photo mill. There are some advantages to using a photo mill, such as cost and turn around time, but there are so many benefits to using a locally owned real estate photography company that you don’t get with a photo mill. Expect a photo mill in your area to be anywhere from $50-$100 cheaper per service you want.
Hopefully that gives you a better idea of what it will cost you to get your listing professionally photographed and videoed in 2025. Here at AbovePAR Real Estate Photography and Marketing, we understand how important it is for your listing to sell as fast possible and for as much money as possible. That’s why we work with Realtors and real estate agents to deliver the photos and videos that will help them best achieve that goal. We also share all the listings we shoot on our social media pages as well as any other marketing material the agent has such as open house events. We do this because when your listing sells fast and for more money that benefits you - and that benefits us.
